2009/2010 Donate an Hour Campaign
Donate an Hour aims to have participants donate one billable hour’s equivalent to the cause at hand.
This billable hour may be from companies or individuals .
This year, we have chosen to support the Elderly.
The 2009/2010 campaign aims to raise funds for an Old age Home to uplift the citizens and give thanks to the nursing staff.
Huis Luckhoff
Huis Luckhoff is a home for the aged, located in Rosebank, a suburb of Cape Town and provides frail care and full time nursing facilities for its citizens.
It is subsidised by the Department of Social Development (Provincial Government of the Western Cape), and as one of many government funded establishments, it is struggling to cover the costs for its citizens and nursing staff.
Donate an Hour will manage the communication messaging and funds-drive through various online channels including:
- The Donate-an-Hour.org website
- A website that will be built and managed specifically for Huis Luckhoff
- Blogs, social networks and various participating online channels and websites
- Twitter: donateanhour
- Facebook: Donate an Hour
- Email campaign
Everyone that participates in this campaign, will be credited by name, or institution on both the Donate-An-Hour.org and Huis-Luckhoff.co.za website.
Huis Luckhoff will use the funds to assist with the following areas:
- General and necessary maintenance on the property
- Token of Thanks to the Nursing Staff
- Upgrade of food
Full disclosure of where funds have been used and how much was received will be made public, both on Huis-Luckhoff.co.za and Donate An Hour.
